Last updated: 1 October 2026. Issued by ALUMA FZ-LLC, which operates aluma.
1. The short version
You introduce children's activities businesses and nurseries to aluma using your own link. When a business you introduce pays for aluma, you earn 20% of what it pays us, every month, for its first 12 months as a paying customer. We pay you monthly. Be honest about aluma, say that you earn commission, and never send spam. The rest of this page spells that out.
2. Who we are and when these terms apply
The affiliate programme is run by ALUMA FZ-LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). These terms are a contract between us and you as an affiliate. They apply from the day we approve your application and give you your link.
We approve affiliates personally, so aluma is always represented well. We do not have to accept every application. You must be at least 18, and you take part as an independent business or individual, not as our employee, agent or partner.
3. Your link
- We give you a referral link with your own code. A business counts as your referral when it creates its aluma account using your link.
- aluma does not use tracking cookies. Your code travels in the link itself, so the business needs to sign up from your link. If it signs up another way, we cannot tell it came from you.
- A referral must be a new customer. It does not count if the business already has, or has had, an aluma account, if it is your own business or one you own part of, or if it is referred by more than one affiliate (the link used to sign up wins).
- Please do not change your link or hide where it leads.
4. Your commission
- You earn 20% of the subscription fees we actually receive from each business you refer, for the first 12 months after it starts paying. A free trial does not count towards the 12 months. If we agree a different rate with you in writing, that rate applies.
- Commission is worked out on the amount we receive, after any refund and not counting VAT. On an annual plan, it is 20% of the annual fee once we receive it.
- No commission is due on payments that fail, are refunded, are reversed (for example a card chargeback), or come from fraud or a breach of these terms. If we have already paid commission on a payment like that, we take it off your next payment.
- Commission stops when the 12 months end, or earlier if the business stops paying.
5. How we pay you
- We pay commission monthly, within 30 days of the end of each month, for payments we received from your referrals during that month.
- We pay by bank transfer, or by another method we agree with you. We pay in the currency the business paid us in (pounds sterling or UAE dirhams).
- With each payment we send a statement showing how many of your referrals paid and the commission due. For their privacy, we do not share the businesses' details or how they use aluma.
- You are responsible for your own tax. If you are registered for VAT, tell us and we will agree how VAT is handled.
- If you think a payment is wrong, tell us within 60 days and we will check it.
6. How to promote aluma
Please:
- Say that you earn commission. UK advertising rules require it. Make it clear every time you share your link, for example with "#ad" or "affiliate link".
- Be accurate. Only describe aluma's features and prices as they are shown on our website. Do not promise results we do not promise, for example that aluma will make a business compliant or pass an inspection.
- Never send spam. Only email or message people who have agreed to hear from you, and follow data protection and marketing law.
- Do not pretend to be aluma or to speak for us, and do not offer discounts or special terms we have not agreed.
- Do not bid on "aluma" or similar words in paid search adverts, or use them in your own website or social media names.
- Do not promote aluma alongside anything unlawful, hateful, adult or harmful, or anything unsuitable for a business that works with children.
7. Our name and logo
While you are an affiliate, you may use the aluma name, logo and any wording or images we give you, only to promote aluma under these terms. We may ask you to change or stop using them. You must not change our logo or use it in a way that suggests we endorse you beyond this programme.
8. Your information
To run the programme, we hold your name, email address, referral code, payment details and the commission we have paid you. Our privacy policy explains how we look after it. You are responsible for the personal data you collect and use when you promote aluma.
9. Ending things
- Either of us can end these terms at any time by giving 30 days' notice by email.
- We can end them straight away if you break these terms, for example by sending spam or making misleading claims. In that case, commission that is not yet paid is not due.
- If we end the programme or your place on it for any other reason, we keep paying commission on businesses you referred before the end date, until their 12 months are up.
- If you choose to leave, we pay commission on payments we received up to your leaving date, and then it stops.
- When these terms end, stop using your link and our name and logo.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the programme grows. We will email you at least 30 days before any change to commission or payments takes effect, and you can leave before then. A lower commission rate never applies to a business you referred before the change.
11. Our responsibility to you
We work hard to record every referral correctly, but we cannot promise the link will always work, and we are not responsible for referrals we could not record. We are not responsible for indirect losses or lost profits. Our total responsibility to you under these terms is limited to the commission we paid you in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit, including for fraud.
12. Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If something goes wrong, please tell us first: most problems can be sorted out quickly by talking.
